Busy Week for City Councils, School Boards
Publié par canadagooseparka, le mardi 13 mars 2012 à 10h21 - Décoration

March should be a relatively quiet month for city council meetings, as most of the incorporated Silver Valley cities will simply review the typical monthly reports and staff reports.
Pinehurst, which meets at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, will have information about the Silver Jackets Meeting to be held the following day, and they will set a date for their budget hearing.
The Osburn City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday. They will hear reports from police and dog, street and sewer, and library and cemetery, and discussions include updating “Welcome to Osburn” signs, conducting emergency tree removal at two locations and an executive session.
In Kellogg, the city council will meet at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. They will start by first discussing the requirements for small businesses to get started in town, and will again debate the fireworks stand permit for the Silver Valley Worship Center/Light the Way Ministry-Furniture Exchange Parking Lot. Outside of older business, the council will accept the 2010-2011 audit, and introduce the Avista Gass Franchise. There will also be an Arbor Day Proclamation.
The Smelterville City Council, which will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, is set to go over a few pieces of unfinished business from February's meeting — a parking ordinance and the drainage problems in Silver King — before Mayor Huber addresses Silver Jackets Meetings and the council schedules a budget hearing date for Shoshone Co.
Several orders of business will be taken care of at the Wallace City Council meeting on Wednesday. There will be two requests for street closures in July. First, by the Friends of the Coeur d'Alene Trails on July 6 and 7, and then for the Historic Wallace Blues Festival on July 14. They will discuss the Wallace flower project, and Steve James, of JUB Engineers will give a final report on the sewer project. Finally, the council will go over the Shoshone County Fire District 1 protection agreement.
